Amaris Leiataua joined the College of Architecture + Planning in August 2017. She oversees advising for Design Foundations and sophomore students in the college. Amaris received her B.A. in Social Welfare and Education from UC Berkeley in 2012. While there, she also studied at The University of Auckland where she received a certificate in Pacific Studies. In 2014, she graduated with a Master in Education from UCLA. She has worked as an educator in the Compton Unified School District, at UC Berkeley’s EAOP program as a college counselor, and at The White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. She is a Compton, California native who loves the beach, trying different foods, and spending time with her family. She is very excited to meet with and learn from each of her students!
