Bogart McAvoy

Bogart McAvoy joined the Multidisciplinary Design program in the fall of 2017 as an adjunct professor. He is currently teaching foundational design studios and works closely with the design pre-majors. He received his B.S. in Architectural Studies and Master of Architecture from the University of Utah. In his past, Bogart has spent his time working on furniture design and fabrication, real estate management and development, and architectural design. Additionally, he does freelance work with an emphasis in digital design and fabrication, as well as project management, public art design and realization, and event art installation design and production. A committed member of the community, he spent five years as a big brother for Big Brothers, Big Sisters, was the co-designer and lead fabricator for two Burning Man interactive projects from 2014-2017, and is currently a board member of the Wasatch Community Gardens.
